What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative therapy approach that helps people heal from trauma and other types of psychological distress like anxiety, phobias, addiction and much more. EMDR has been extensively researched and proven to be a highly effective therapy tool in helping clients completely process through distressing experiences.

Suzanne Muirheid
Founder
Suzanne Muirheid has over a decade of experience delivering transformative care to individuals navigating trauma and life’s most challenging moments. In addition to her clinical work, Suzanne offers consultation and training to fellow clinicians seeking to deepen their expertise in trauma-informed treatment.
She is a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II in Complex Trauma. Her approach combines clinical excellence with a deep commitment to healing and personal growth.
In 2020, Suzanne founded Calm Mind Counseling Center with a mission to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can access innovative and effective behavioral health care. Under her leadership, the center has grown into a thriving practice, supported by a skilled and compassionate clinical team. Together, they provide a wide range of therapeutic services in an environment designed to help clients restore balance, build resilience, and achieve a sense of calm.
