Telecounseling FAQs

Updated: Jul 29, 2022

COVID-19 turned our world upside down in a matter of days. The changes have impacted everyone greatly and many are struggling with coping during this difficult time of uncertainty. More than ever, therapists are needed to help provide support and care and we at Calm Mind Counseling Center have moved to Telecounseling.

What is Telecounseling?

Therapy sessions are provided through a HIPAA secure video platform or over the phone. You can talk to your therapist from the comfort and safety of your home.

Is Telecounseling effective?

Studies show Tele counseling can be as effective as in-office sessions.

Will my insurance cover Telecounseling?

Most insurances are providing Telecounseling coverage during shelter-in-place restrictions. Calm Mind Counseling Center will do its best to confirm coverage before the first session.

What do I need for a Telecounseling appointment?

You only need an internet connection for a video appointment or a phone for a phone call. We understand that it may be difficult to find a private space, so our therapists will work with you to identify a situation that feels comfortable.

How do I schedule a Telecounseling appointment?

Calm Mind Counseling Center is currently offering a complimentary telehealth session to new clients. Click here to schedule an appointment or call us at 773-234-0423.

We are here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
