Why Choose Telehealth Therapy?
Online therapy can make it easier to receive consistent support without the stress of commuting, arranging childcare, leaving work early, or navigating a busy schedule
Is Telehealth Therapy Right for Me?
Telehealth may be a good fit if you have access to a private, quiet space for sessions, feel comfortable using video technology, and are physically located in Illinois during your appointment.
Online therapy may not be the best fit for every situation. Some clients benefit from in-person care or a more structured treatment setting. During the intake process, we will help determine whether online therapy is clinically appropriate for your needs.

How Telehealth Sessions Work
Online Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Telehealth therapy allows you to attend sessions through a secure video platform using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. You and your therapist meet in real time, just as you would in an office, while working together on your goals, symptoms, relationships, coping skills, and healing process.

Many clients appreciate online therapy because it offers flexibility and privacy. Telehealth can be especially helpful for clients who want support but are not able to make it in to the office

Can EMDR Therapy Be Done Online?
For some clients, EMDR therapy may be appropriate through telehealth. Calm Mind Counseling Center has a strong focus on trauma-informed care and EMDR therapy, and our clinicians thoughtfully assess whether online EMDR is a good fit based on your symptoms, history, and treatment goals.
Online EMDR may include adaptations such as visual, auditory, or tactile bilateral stimulation. Your therapist will talk with you about what to expect, how to prepare, and how to make sure you feel supported throughout the process. Learn more about EMDR therapy.
